The Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards. What a night.

A raucous room in full swing, toasts aplenty and ideas flowing like fine champagne. The Lowry Hotel was abuzz with some of the North’s most respected businesses and entreprenuers. We were awed to be there. Six years after setting up Designer Habitat and now regional finalists in one of the world’s most esteemed business awards.

Inspirational, empowering and not one to be missed. Business leaders from Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester descended to network, share ideas and vie for the big win: EY’s North of England Entrepreneur of the Year.

A fantastic night was brought to a close with Peter Roberts, founder of Pure Gym, taking the Regional award. Designer Habitat founder, Mark Januszewski, would like to offer his heartfelt congratulations to Peter – a worthy winner and great ambassador for the region.

We came away inspired, reinvigorated and keen to show the UK just what Designer Habitat has to offer.
