DOMU Brands is now an Employee Shared Business

Here at DOMU Brands we have some very exciting news to share, in our 11-year history this will be our biggest announcement yet. We are delighted to say that we have now become an Employee Shared Business, through the creation of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). This was a natural next step in DOMU Brands journey and after what has been such a hard year for us all, it is a proud moment for founders Mark Januszewski, Craig Foster, and all employees.

Having achieved record levels of team engagement and financial performance in FY20, employees will now benefit as the value of the business increases and our E-commerce sites and continue to grow. The Employee Ownership Trust will hold a controlling stake in the company on behalf of DOMU’s employees, which means founders Mark and Craig are to sell 51% of the business to the EOT. This move to an EOT really builds on DOMU’s core values, helps galvanise the team, and is a part of our wider strategy to become one of the best companies to work for, both in the Northwest and the wider UK.

Overseeing the transition is Mark Januszewski, Co-Founder of DOMU Brands. He said ‘Following record financial performance in FY20, we’ve created extremely solid foundations for the next phase of our journey. With an amazing team, large investment in systems, and continued development of our brands we feel that we’re at the starting line of something special.’

It is an exciting time to be a part of DOMU Brands and employees can take pride in knowing they are building the future of the company.
